Everything you need to know about Rock Master

Rock Master is one of the most loved climbing events in the world. Born in 1987, it has seen legendary athletes take on the wall and make climbing history.

Competing this year among the men: William Bosi, Yannick Flohé, Stefano Ghisolfi, Adam Ondra, Giovanni Placci, Filip Schenk, Jacob Schubert and Hannes Van Duysen.

Among the women: Anna Maria Apel, Héloïse Doumont, Janja Garnbret, Mei Kotake, Jessica Pilz, Mattea Pötzi, Brooke Raboutou and Laura Rogora.

Rock Master’s home is in Arco, Italy. The Lead Duel and KO Boulder competitions are held on the walls of the Climbing Stadium, while the Climbing Village is just a short walk away.

No, entry to Rock Master is free, you just need to register online.

The Climbing Stadium is just a short walk from Arco’s historic centre, at Via dei Legionari Cecoslovacchi 26.

You can get there:

  • By car (there’s a car park nearby)
  • By public transport (bus stops: Foro Boario or Via della Cinta, then walk through the town centre; Piazza Italia; or Arco/Svizzera)

Yes! There’s direct access from the cycle path along the Sarca River, and a dedicated bike parking area is available.

The nearest car park is the paid Ex Carmellini parking area.
Alternatively, you can park in Arco town centre and walk to the Climbing Stadium (about 15 minutes), or use the free car park in Caneve (around 15 minutes on foot).
