Climbing Better
A more sustainable Rock Master

Climbing Better

Rock Master sostenibile

Rock Master isn’t just a world-class climbing competition, it’s also an event that actively works to reduce its environmental impact and promote sustainable practices. Every year, we aim to make Rock Master more eco-friendly, more responsible, and more aware.

What does it mean to run a sustainable event?

Better for the planet, better for the community

Sustainability is a value that touches many areas, all equally important. It’s about protecting the environment, but also supporting the local economy and community. So, what makes Rock Master a sustainable event?

  1. Waste reduction and recycling: We’ve set up waste separation systems throughout the event area to ensure proper disposal and recycling whenever possible.

  2. Eco-friendly materials: We use recycled paper for printed materials and minimise single-use plastics, choosing biodegradable or reusable alternatives whenever we can.

  3. Renewable energy: We encourage the use of public transport and shared rides to reach the event – a simple way to cut down on traffic and air pollution.

  4. Local community involvement: We team up with local associations to create activities and experiences during the event.

  5. Coinvolgimento della comunità locale: ci rivolgiamo ad associazioni del territorio per proporre attività durante l’evento.

  6. 100% local food: Our Food Area serves dishes made with local ingredients, sourced from small producers in Garda Trentino.

Be part of the change
Want to help us make a difference?

Each of us can choose a more mindful way of doing things. Sometimes it’s just small actions – but they can have a big positive impact.

Want to enjoy Rock Master in a more sustainable way?

  • Use public transport (including Bus&Go) or carpool to reduce CO₂ emissions

  • Come by bike – the event is just steps from the cycle path along the Sarca River, and there’s a dedicated bike parking area at the entrance

  • Bring a reusable water bottle – there are several drinking fountains around the event site

  • Sort your waste and use the correct bins

CONSCIOUS CLIMBING

You can make a difference on the rock too! The crags and climbing walls of Garda Trentino are set in a fragile natural environment – let’s take care of it, for us and for future generations.

  • Climb only in authorised and marked areas.
  • Take all your rubbish home.
  • Stick to the marked paths to access crags and routes.
  • When nature calls, head to the nearest toilet if possible. If there are no facilities, choose a secluded spot away from trails, bury organic waste and carry out everything else (including toilet paper).
  • Park only in designated areas or use the new Bus&Go Crag Service to reach the walls.
  • Chat with your crew, but keep it chill. It’ll be easier to hear climbing calls and stay connected with the environment around you.
  • Be smart and stay safe: follow the advice of experienced climbers and mountain professionals.
