general rules rock master

Art. 1 – ORGANISATION

Rock Master 20.20 S.S.D. (SSD), tax and VAT code 02601920222, registered office in Via Paolina Caproni Maini, 26/E – 38062 Arco (TN), Italy – email: rockmaster@rockmaster.com – certified email (PEC): rockmaster20.20ssd@pec.it – is a sports company focused on the organisation and management of sports activities, with a particular emphasis on sport climbing. These activities include the organisation of events, competitions, recreational and promotional initiatives.

The SSD is the creator and organiser of a series of interrelated sports events brought together under a unified organisational framework and promoted within a specific context of general and tourism-oriented marketing. This set of events is collectively known as Rock Master (hereafter referred to as the Event), and is identified by a dedicated logo, reproduced below:

For the organisation and management of the Event, the SSD collaborates with official organisational, technical and commercial partners, under specific contractual agreements.

The organisational and managerial concept of Rock Master, owned by SSD, is based on the following pillars:

  • a unique setting (Arco – Garda Trentino) and integrated management
  • the ability to bring together the climbing community around a flagship event: the Rock Master Trophy, an open-air competition-show featuring the world’s strongest athletes in the Lead Duel and KO Boulder disciplines
  • the synergy between high-level sport climbing and a wide range of related activities – including promotional climbing for kids, climbing-related exhibitions and product showcases, and lifestyle initiatives – all in line with the Garda Trentino destination’s “Stay Young” philosophy, where mountains, crags and the breathtaking views of Lake Garda define the outdoor holiday experience

The climbing competitions that characterise Rock Master are:

  • KO Boulder: the competition includes four rounds. In each round, athletes have three attempts to top the boulder. Rankings are based on the highest point reached and the number of attempts.
  • Lead Duel: athletes compete on two identical, parallel lead routes. The first to top wins. After a qualification round that determines matchups, athletes compete in a head-to-head elimination format until the final.
  • FASI Chronos Clash: speed climbing competition for U17 and U19 athletes
  • Amateur bouldering challenge

The present regulation defines the general principles relating to the organisation and management of Rock Master and serves as the overarching framework for the specific regulations and/or General Terms and Conditions (GTC) that govern the detailed rules and relationships with partners, suppliers, exhibitors, guests, visitors, athletes and competitors.

Art. 2 – OBJECTIVES

Through the Rock Master platform, the SSD aims to:

  • promote the values and practice of sport climbing, as well as the unique characteristics of the Garda Trentino and Arco area, recognised internationally as a true home of climbing
  • foster opportunities for connection between industry professionals and the broader climbing community

Art. 3 – GENERAL INFORMATION

Rock Master is held annually, generally between mid and late October. The official date is published on the website https://rockmaster.com, which also hosts the official programme of events and activities. Only the programme published on the official website is to be considered valid. The SSD assumes no responsibility for events or activities not listed in the official programme.

In the event that Rock Master is cancelled due to measures issued by local, national, or international authorities, or due to force majeure or emergencies (including but not limited to situations such as pandemics), the Event and its associated activities may be wholly or partially cancelled. In such cases, all contractual agreements and obligations with the Organiser will be considered void, except where otherwise specified in individual regulations or contracts/GTCs.

Even in the absence of official authority directives, the SSD reserves the right to cancel part or all of the Rock Master events, or to make changes to the official programme as needed to ensure the overall success of the Event and fulfil its stated objectives.

In any case, the SSD – directly or through its partners – undertakes to inform participants and stakeholders promptly of any changes, using the communication channels deemed most effective and timely. All communications provided under this regulation, of any type or nature, will be considered valid if published on the official Rock Master website or sent via electronic mail to the addresses provided by participants during registration.
