Miriam Fugo and Giulia Medici are Brazz athletes, flatmates, friends – and rivals in competition.
They share training sessions, everyday life, competitions, successes and difficult moments, while following different paths and developing their own climbing styles. Their story becomes the starting point for a broader conversation about the relationship between competition, friendship and growth as athletes.
Because an individual sport doesn’t have to be an individual journey. You can compete for the same goal while supporting each other, learning from one another and turning rivalry into mutual motivation.
The Friends and Rivals project explores this balance through training, injury, recovery and competition, opening up a conversation about how friendship, community and healthy competition can contribute to an athlete’s development in modern sport.
